Exploration of Culture though Portraiture
This project was an exploration of culture through portraiture. Only by studing varied subjects can you develop a stronger awarenes of facial anatomy.
Typical watercolour doesn't create a strong __ so I used a spectrum pen to implement a contrast.
A2 portrait using a monoprinting method where you paint on plastic and print this on the paper.
Exploring expressions - a suprised portrait of my Papa.
Expression though line gesture and colour experiment using the monoprinting technique. For sadness the lines are cross-hatch with longer strokes to enphasise melting away which contrasts with red whose lines are more wild and instinctive.
